Core Values & Our Beliefs

Understanding the Word
Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore, get wisdom and with your getting, get understanding! (Prov. 4:7; Prov. 3:13). We will always strive to “understand” the information we receive and get revelation about God, His Word and why we do the things that we do.

Building Relationships
The Church must be filled with loving relationships and friendships. (Prov. 18:24; John 15:12-15; Psa. 133:1-3) It is critical that we have good relationships upon which we can build our local church family.

Becoming God Pleasers
What matters most is living life as God pleasers. (Heb. 10:38; Heb 11:6) Through dedicated attendance and service at church, we can become all that God has called us to be.

Valuing People
The attitudinal aspect of our core values is that we will value people for who they are, not for what they do.  (Matt 25:40; Matt. 5:3 – 12)

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and the Bible is the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God; eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal, visible, future return to this earth to receive to Himself His blood-bought church that it may be with Him forever.
  • We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.
  • We believe that Salvation has been provided for all men through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in an eternal place of happiness for the saved and an eternal place of punishment for the lost.
  • We believe that divine healing is provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is now available to every believer. Divine healing is the restoration of health to those who believe and act on the truths written in God’s Word. We further believe that Jesus is our Healer and that by His stripes we are already healed.
  • We believe that the church consists of all who have confessed and received Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
  • We believe that faith is acting on the Word of God.
  • We believe in the sanctification process, personal holiness, and purity of heart and life.
  • We believe that it is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust.
  • We believe in the authority of Jesus’ name.
  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, in the gifts of the Spirit and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion and in the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
  • We believe that tithes and offerings should be freely given to your local church. The local church is the place of membership where God has called you to receive His Word on a consistent basis and to grow spiritually.
  • We believe in giving alms to the poor, sick, homeless and others in despair.
